Before you rely on this document TalentCivic is a business in formation and is not yet incorporated. This policy describes how the TalentCivic website and its planned staffing services handle personal information today under the TalentCivic name; it will be reissued under our formal corporate name once incorporation is complete. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer or privacy specialist - treat it as a good-faith draft, not legal advice, until it has been.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to personal information TalentCivic collects through this website, by email, or in the course of providing government staffing services - whether you're a candidate interested in placement or a representative of a government agency or organization we work with.

2. What we collect

A candidate	Name, contact details, work history, discipline/field, location, clearance or suitability status, and anything else you choose to share with us (e.g. a resume).
A government agency or employer contact	Your name, organization, role, contact details, and details about the staffing need you've described to us.
Any website visitor	Basic technical information (like browser type) standard to any website visit. We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

3. How we use it

To evaluate and pursue candidate placements on government contracts.
To respond to staffing inquiries from government agencies and employers.
To communicate with you about an opportunity, contract, or inquiry you've raised with us.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for purposes beyond what's described here without asking you first.

4. Who we share it with

We share candidate information with a specific prospective government agency or employer only when pursuing a specific opportunity with your knowledge. We don't share your information broadly or with unrelated third parties.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it's reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected for - for example, for as long as you remain interested in placement opportunities, or as long as an agency relationship is active - and delete or anonymize it when it's no longer needed, unless we're required to keep it longer by law.

6. Your rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can:

Ask what personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold, appropriate to a business at our current stage. As we grow, we'll formalize these practices further and update this policy to reflect that.

8. Cookies

This site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve a request to Google's servers. We don't currently run analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy and add a cookie notice.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as the business develops, particularly once incorporation is complete and once our candidate registry is built. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
